I created this canvas for a dear friend of mine who's birthday was last week.  She is an amazingly brave woman and I wanted to create something for her to keep reminding her to stay brave throughout the day.
I had a blast creating this canvas using all sorts of mediums and most importantly the amazing Iamroses products which I use in almost every single one of my projects.
I particularly loved working with the skeleton leaves for texture in my canvas, so fun!

How to create your own patterned paper using Lindy's Stamp Gang Sprays

Here is a tutorial by popular demand.  I often get asked how I use my glitter screens and sprays so here is a tutorial on how you can create your own patterned paper with very little supplies that you already have on hand.

SUPPLY LIST:

1. White 12x12 Cardstock
2. Screen (full page preferred) but any screen will work
3. Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays ( any color of your choice)
3. Archival Ink (do not use water-base ink or it will run)

Shabby Chic Cupcake Stand

I couldn't wait for November to come so that I could create this project.  It's my youngest daughter's birthday in November and I had the most amazing shabby chic theme in mind for her party.  To my disappointment she informed me that she would like a Buzz Lightyear cake!!!!! I was like WHATTTT!! do you know how excited I am to create this for you!!!! LoL!!!!!..... I should let you guys know she is 3 and most of you know that changing the mind of a 3 year old is practically impossible! sooooo, here is the cake stand anyway!
I used three different flowers from IAMROSES and all the links will be below for your convenience.
I couldn't imagine creating a project with a little Iamroses ;)

IAMROSES DT MIXED MEDIA CANVAS USING KRAFT GLASSINE

I created this canvas using Kraft Glassine from Tim Holtz and a variety of iamroses flowers which you will find the links below.

I love to get messy and create from a blank canvas.  When I create a project on a white canvas it literally gives me the freedom to create from nothing and allow the creation to come alive on it's own.  The best part about using paints is that you can keep adding layers upon layers until you achieve the look you want.  Kraft glassine has such a unique texture that it makes for an amazing wood grain effect as I used in this canvas.  Check out the video below for full tutorial!

Vintage/Grunge Layout

Here is a layout I designed using several Iamroses flowers listed below the pictures.  As mentioned in the video I love to design/sketch out a layout when I am completely stumped for ideas.  I find myself picking papers that I can fussy cut so when I have a paper line that does not give me that option I usually feel stuck. I always have a small sketch book beside me when I craft and let me tell you I CANNOT DRAW!!! I think my 3 year old draws better than me but a rough sketch gives me something to work with.

And don't you all agree that no layout is complete without at least one flower! LoL!!

Bo Bunny Layout Challenge Friday

Here is the layout I created for the BoBunny Layout challenge Friday.
The challenge was to use their Noteworthy Journaling sheets as well as incorporate some journaling.  I am absolutely in love with their ETC line and it fit so perfectly with the pictures I had.  This picture is so precious to me because I was 9 months pregnant with my 2nd child and this moment that my oldest daughter and I spent together at the cabin was so peaceful and happy as a mother of one child.  I never could have imagined what was coming my way when my second child arrived into this world.... all you mothers out there can certainly relate.
