December Mixed Media Challenge

1
I am so absolutely excited that the amazing "Pan Pastels" will be our sponsors for the month of December!
I know you have all been very anxiously waiting for the rules and so here they are!
This month I will be creating an Mixed Media journal where I will be incorporating mixed media, journaling and scrapbooking in one.  When I look back at all the wonderful moments that I have gone through in the year I thought wouldn't it be great to be able to capture them in a journal which is exactly what we are going to do this month.
I am going to call it my "Year in Review Journal"

  1. Create a year in review journal using any journal of your choice
  2. No restriction on materials but so many want to make what I make so the amazing Kristina Byers from " Your memories Here" is going to be offering our viewers some fabulous deals on the products I use during my show.
  3. I want to see your techniques using Pan Pastels! ( for those that don't have one you can use any pastel or here is the Pan Pastel Website Link <--------
  4. HAVE FUN!!!!!
I will create a link on the bottom of this post and you can also make a video of your completed projects if you prefer that instead of a blog post.  For those that do not have a blog or a YT channel you can post it in the Mixed Media Facebook group in an Album that will be called "December Year in Review"

CONTEST ENTRIES DEADLINE JAN 3RD/13 MIDNIGHT

I can't wait to see what you create!!!

"Merry Christmas" Card

4
Good Morning crafters!
The Holidays are approaching faster than I would like to admit and I love to give hand made cards to my family and friends so here is a card I created using the Christmas Collection by FabScraps.

Products you will need:

  • Santa Surprise Patterned paper C51 006
  • Bells and Whistles Patterned PaperC51 001
  • Victorian Angels Patterned Paper C51 003
  • Christmas Stickers ST51 001
  • Christmas Flowers MC DC-10
  • Ribbon
  • Gems or flower centres
  • Martha Stewart Punch - Branch
  1. Using Bells and Whistles cut a card with the dimensions 10x12 and fold in half to make it a 5x6 card.

Using the Santa Surprise paper, cut out one of the windows, with a craft knife cut out the centre of the window.

Using the Martha Stewart Punch Cut out several branches using the Victorian Angels Paper and create a circle as shown.  Start adhering the branches to each other using liquid glue.  Add more branches as desired to make a fuller wreath.

With some flower centres or little gems apply them throughout the wreath as shown.

Create a box with some seam binding or bow of your choice and apply to the bottom of the wreath.

Using the Christmas flowers punch out flowers in several different sizes and assemble as shown in photo.

Adhere foam dots to the window frame and glue down on card.  Apply flowers and Wreath as shown in photo.

Cut a small strip using the Victorian angels paper and create a banner, glue Merry Christmas Sticker on the banner from the Sticker collection.  Apply banner to the card as shown.

Thank you so much for stopping by!!!
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial!

Shabby Chic Altered Cigar box

13
Hello crafters!!
I have been wanting to share this project with you for over a month!!! I am very fortunate to have a husband that provides me with a large quantity of cigar boxes so it is kind of a hobby to alter them.  I crated this project for an amazing friend and designer Leanne ( AKA - Luvlee Scrappin).  I have never had so much fun altering a cigar box as much as I did this time.  I really wanted this to be special for Leanne and if you see what she sent me you will fall off your chair!!
I created this dresser using the new Marie Antionette collection by FabScraps as well as the amazing Iamroses flowers.
Here are some close ups of the project and all product information will be bellow the photos.  Thank you for stopping by!
